Our collaboration advances research on material texts and crafts from the early modern to modern periods in South Asia. We bring together scholars interested in studying text-oriented practices, communities, and technologies. We organize workshops, develop instructional materials, and publish in academic and public forums. Our work illuminates historical, social, and cultural issues relating to book objects.
